Largely self taught, with some boosts from several apprenticeships and a stretch working at the Johnson Atelier, where I honed my skills as a technician. At mid-career I consider myself a master craftsman in the creation of cast art. My main interest has always been Pop/Surrealism/Magical Realism. I have explored such mediums as Bronze, Stainless Steel and Polyester materials.
Throughout my career I have enjoyed pairing the clever engineering skills of Man with those of Nature. These juxtapositions have always complemented rather than opposed one another. I have striven to find the natural beauty inherent in each form and reveal a relationship which in hindsight seems almost obvious in each example.
