Dennis Jones, Sculptor Born 1943 Detroit, Mighigan ARTIST STATEMENT My practice as a artist is fueled by my idealism. I am open to the belief that any idea can be built as long as we do not allow ourselves to be limited by our imagination. I am interested in eliminating everything that is extraneous to the object, ultimately seeing how far a form can be refined to be the most direct expression of function and intent. The finished product should symbolize the fine mental focus and intuitive physical rhythms involved in the process of its fabrication.
