About Jack Riley:

Jack Riley Jack Riley, a native of Oklahoma, was a watchmaker for 32 years. He began to sculpt in 1970. One day while he and his wife were visiting the Cowboy Hall of Fame and admiring the works of Remington and Russell he said, “I wish I owned one”. Mrs. Riley challenged him to do his own sculpture. He did it! and entered a sculpture contest. He won. Jack’s knowledge of horses combined with the manual dexterity of his watchmaker hands made his Western bronzes something to be cherished. The accurate anatomy and minute detail is almost impossible to achieve in figures of this size. This sculpture expresses the spirited nature of the American cowboy – an individualist - gritty… hardy… real. Most of Mr. Riley’s work is desk size. He felt collectors who owned his bronzes should be able to admire them daily.
